A steady beat is more important then any particular song. Make sure you can play steady. All the songs require that .

back in the late 70's , came across a 4 record set Called DRUM DROPS , it took you from basic rock beats to complex fills and rides , it covered rock , jazz , funk you name it , it also showed notation , check out internet , finding this was a big helper , good luck .
