Trouble is, most people just think, "'ang on, delay's just delay, isn't it?" when in fact you get all sorts of reverse delays, modulation, tone, repeat patterns etc. You can even turn a Flashback into a chorus pedal if you want.
EDIT: For what it's worth, I'm on my second Flashback (sold the first one, then instantly regretted it) and I've never come across any problems.
