TC Flashback X4 anyone?

Also, they don't have the Toneprint functionality. If you've never used a Flashback before, it's pretty difficult to explain how wonderful they are - even having one spot on the dial which you can swap out to any delay model (although I don't think it's really modelling) is really liberating. Having 4 is brilliant.

Trouble is, most people just think, "'ang on, delay's just delay, isn't it?" when in fact you get all sorts of reverse delays, modulation, tone, repeat patterns etc. You can even turn a Flashback into a chorus pedal if you want.

EDIT: For what it's worth, I'm on my second Flashback (sold the first one, then instantly regretted it) and I've never come across any problems.

Well it is beginning to sound a bargain over the strymon ;)

I don't think I'll ever use most of the delays on offer on the flashback but getting a chorus effect could be handy. It's quite a size though

No, you probably won't. However, reprogramming it with another Toneprint is as easy as selecting it on your phone (yes, your phone) and holding it in front of your pickup...so you can audition a load of them pretty damn quickly.

I've got a HoF and tbh, I don't really use the toneprint functionality. I'd use it if TC put out an editor, but I've asked them about it several times, and they've got no plans.

Looks nice but since selling my flashback and getting a Zoom G3 i've not really looked back. This Flashback looks to have everything I missed on the original flashback but after a minutes thought i'd still be getting less than I get from the G3 by swapping. One of the plusses from the G3 is you can loop your delays, which most delay pedals miss out on.

Still, looks a great pedal, 9v operation and good form factor make it a winner. Looks cooler than the G3 as well....

It's not the price per se - it's just that it isn't even something essential. Like an Envelope Filter.

ahaha. Yeah, you're more of a bass guy right??? Chappers said in his video something about "it's not an effect you'd use all the time" and I'm sat there thinking... "er.. delay is probably my most used effect... after reverb..."

If this were a X4 Corona pedal, then I'd be all "meh" about it. But I lurves me some delay :D

Delay on bass has been vile ever since Michael Anthony did his 'Jack Daniels' delay / Brian May rip-off solo back in the proper Van Halen days.
