My son had one till he got his J200, loved it, I gigged on a couple of acoustic gigs myself. great pickup well made and sounded fine.
I didn't think they came with a electro acoustic option?
Depends on model I suppose, I was talking RK guitars in general as being great quality.
I just sold a RO-17, 'twas a good little guitar for the money, tidy build but not faultless (as you expect at this price point), and was a good fingerpicker but perhaps a bit boxy on the bass strings and strumming wise only liked it gentle. Tone fell on the vintage side of the tracks.
Going off subject a bit but what do you guys say is a good all rounder then. I really don't want a dreadnought type style. The Martin 000 type/style is perfect for me .
Any suggestions of makes I should be looking at?
Try a Taylor 110e. US built and can be found for £300ish. Fantastic guitars
Isn't the Taylor 110 a dread? I'm a recent convert to the X14 size Taylors (try a 114 or 214 maybe) as size wise they fall between an 000 and a dread and thus seem to take strumming better than a 000 but still have the wider nut and not quite the bulk of a dread. I'm sure for sepcialists they are a compromise on both sides but for me they are a great all-rounder.
Thanks. I will check out those when I next go to a guitar shop. Taylors are bit pricey though. Just checked out Blueridge and they seem to be quite reasonable for what you get?
