Tayden Great Brit is a 50W G12H style speaker.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but this seems as good a place to ask as any and I don't want to start a new thread.

does tayden do a higher wattage greenback too? it's kinda difficult to tell from the descriptions exactly what they're based on.

Also are they rated conservatively like celestions? Not much point in their being higher-rated if it's just on paper, lol.

ICBM, have you tried taydens? I know you say the eminence ones don't sound like celestions, how about the taydens?

The G12T hot 100 is a very underrated speaker, sounds a lot like a Greenback with a 100W rating , and they are cheap as chips!

Yes. The High Brit is 50W rated with a Kapton voice coil, otherwise same as the True Brit, which is Greenback-ish.

You seem to get a bit less top end when you use a kapton VC.

There is no obvious explanation for this, however kapton is not very rigid so it needs to have a nomex wrap around the top, and this have something to do with it as it adds mass to the VC.
