    Default love is the drug

Has anyone done Love is the Drug it and does it work well live?

I like the sparse arrangement that Roxy Music did - all vocal and bass with some added chops and ambience but i'm wondering whether it has "enough" to play in a set

If your rhythem section drives it along and the singist has an element of stage charisma the rest is a moot point. Real Saxaphone is the icing on the pudding.

We do it as a four piece. It's a great song. We do where streets have no name straight into it. Audiences love it

I used to play it in a sort of ambient/acoustic band, just bass and two guitars (one acoustic, one electric with loads of effects) and it worked really well.

We play it. If you've got a good singer, and a sax player then it goes down well. The sound makes a refreshing change for the audience's ears. I like the stark guitar arrangement, which makes it an easy number to play.

that's good as I agree - the stark bass driven arrangement will make a nice change.

no sax player so I'm doing the horn stabs on me guitar.
