Default 60's Esquire FOR TRADE/ FOR SALE £1300 delivered ono

    Hi Folks,

I have decided to move on my early 60's replica Esquire, it was made by John at JXG Guitars and has the following spec:

    Braz rosewood board
Correct era decal (think a nice Eff with an Ender on it as well.....)
    Lightweight Ash body
    Lightweight guitar @ 6.5lbs approx
    Thin nitro lacquer finish
    6105 gauge frets
Deep 'D' style shape neck carve, good 'handful' but not too chunky but not ultra thin
    Compound radius 9"-14"
    Genuine early 60's neck plate
Aged Olympic white finish (not heavy relic, I'd say more closet classic or light relic)
    KTS Ti saddles
    Bareknuckle 50's Broadcaster pickup
CTS pots, cloth wiring and PIO cap
Wired like an LP Junior, Vol & Tone only (dummy switch fitted)
Later 70's genuine Fender velour lined moulded fitted case (good condition and worth a bit in it's own right)

It's here as well, I must add, I wasn't the cameraman on this one so apologies there! It features me playing the Esquire and the song is VERY rough self-penned tune. This was just a practice/ jam with some pals of mine so nothing serious but it does feature the Esquire in anger, it's all I have of the guitar in use:

A full folder of pictures are available no problem, just let me know and I can send on. The guitar is available to demo within the Edinburgh area as well. I can ship UK and worldwide too.

I am considering trades on this one in the first instance, I miss not having a Les Paul so if there's anything like that or a Les Paul Deluxe (70's), 335, 345, 355 possibly available, let me know. It's a fine guitar and genuinely deserves to be played. Cranked, it's a bit of a beast and does the early Page thing quite well which is exactly what I was after when getting it made.

I'm not really interested in amps or any other guitars though barring LP's and ES335, 345, 355's. I also don't have a lot of funds available but for the right guitar, I may be able to add funds on top of this Esquire if required at a real push.

The price on a straight sale is £1200 shipped (offers and good quality trades considered as well). This includes the 70's Fender case and delivery within the UK. As always, I can certainly consider offers as well but can't guarantee they will be accepted.

Trades for Gibsons (LP's and ES335, 345, 355's still very much considered too). I'm very happy to offer this guitar on a no quibble return should it not hit the spot, it's really a fine instrument. I'm also happy for the guitar to be demoed and I'm based in the Edinburgh area so if that suits, just let me know as well.

I can be contacted on here or via email:

Thanks for reading and just let me know if you require any further info on the guitar,

    Cheers
    Hugh

Thanks for the interest in the guitar, I'm in the Edinburgh area. If you are local and fancy trying the guitar, it's no problem to arrange something.

    Cheers

Didn't think this would take long to get interest.

Good luck to the buyer of this, knowing how caring Hugh is of his guitars, this'll be one corker of a guitar to own.

And have a bump to spread the word more
