60's Esquire FOR TRADE/ FOR SALE

It'll go eventually Hugh. I recall not so long ago I was speaking with John regarding that lovely aged R8 you had for sale. Didn't have the spare cash at that time.

When I did have the cash a bit later on, John told me it was sold. Just the way it goes, but there'll be somebody eyeing up the Esquire and waiting for the pennies to roll in first. Way of the world.

I do still miss that guitar and it was a wrench to see it go. Did you have a Gretsch possibly around that time? I got offered a very fair deal on a Gretsch and a modern Marshall amp for a pal of John's. Apologies if it was you but I really needed the funds at the time (new car needed in a hurry).

The Esquire is a really nice guitar too and will see how it goes. If it sells then I get some funds in the door but if not then it's a great guitar to have too.

Ha! Indeed it was. The Gretsch is going to a good home at the end of this month (hopefully.) and the Marshall went to be replaced by another un.

Thanks very much for that offer, like I said it was a good one and sorry you didn't get the guitar. You know John and I'm sure once you are ready and get your R8, you'll have the LP of your dreams if JXG's got anything to do with it.

Hope the search/ wait for the LP isn't too long. I recently got a nice LP back after being without one for a while, it was good to get a Les Paul again.
