Default Roland SPD-SX or SPD-30 Which one to get?

    I'm an ex-drummer, missing playing.

Not sure what one to get, SPD SX or SPD 30?

I'll mainly be playing at home maybe have a jam in a studio.

I'd like to add a kick drum pedal, Hi-Hat & control, maybe a snare.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Seems like SX has only 2 trig inputs so the choice is quite simple: SPD-30. There's from time to time used ones om <Craigslist and similar.
I thought of that anyway from the start cus it has probably better feel to the pads and Moreover the SX is more for sampling and trigging loops. Dunno if you're in to that. You can always play drum libraries via USB from computer. Even better sounds. Good luck!

Check out the Yamaha DTX-12! Great unit that can be used as a mini drum kit. HH CTRL, Kick, & snare pads can be added on, it also adds a bit of sampling.
