Yup, that's what I was hoping...I had a quick go on the cube last night and it didn't seem to make too much of a difference, but I'll see how it works with the DSL-50 on full tilt.

I use an Electro-Harmonix LPB 1 for those sort of shenanigans, doesn`t get a lot of use but seems to work quite well, 1 knob, 1 switch, quiet, loud, on, off, nice and simple,--- just like me

P.S. Applause to ES335 for admitting to using Behringer gear without getting embarased, (is that how you spell that ? )

+1. The boost is god and the blues mode is none too shabby either.

Yup, tried both of those (LPB-1 and BB-2)

I thought the BB2 sounded pretty good through my Marshall, but when I tried it through a Mesa F-30 it sounded tiinny, fizzy and awful - completely irrelevant, but odd. Don't know why that was. Anyway, I don't think it makes much different which boost pedal I stick in front of my amp - it's just driving the already driven pre-amp into more distortion. So it just gets dirtier, not louder. It works fine putting it in the fx loop coz it's driving the power amp...but using the loop just sucks so much tone on my amp.

I wonder how people who have amps without an fx loop get a volume boost.

I think part of my problem is that I'm not loud enough to start with.

Also our other guitarist seems to get louder as we go through the set

BTW Mr 335, is your GD wah pedal reverse polarity to everything else ?, mine is, and i just thought it a bit odd
