    Default 1973 Rickenbacker....

I said Id list this on behalf of a friend before he gets bent over the counter selling it in denmark street!

a beautiful 1973 rickenbacker 4001- the last year of the well made ones (74 onwards they started cutting costs and corners), with the checkerboard binding. Amazing condition for a nearly 40 year old guitar. No worn patches, binding complete and still firmly in place, some scratches on the back (to be expected really) but nothing that breaks the paint. The only thing we don't have is the original case, but it will be sold with the one in the pictures, oh and we have the metal bridge thing for the bridge pup, just easier to play it without...

£2500 collection from Essex - May post but will look into costs and insurance.

Vintage and rare currently have a similar guitar in no where the condition of this one at £3,500..!

Any questions please ask, one pic here (as theyre huge!) the rest on photobucket here -

only what IVe been told by an american collector of ricky 4001's, the guys in Angel Music, and this on bass chat...

This is one of the last ever proper 4001s that had the complete compliment of checkerboard binding, toaster pickup, plexi TRC and full width inlays before Rickenbacker started butchering them in the cost-cutting redesign era.
