    Default NPD: Zoom G3

This thing is amazing! So many effects I've never thought of using, so many useful features, so many sims and effects that actually sound good! I've lost a good 3 hours messing with the crazy filters and pitch effects, I still haven't gotten around to creating a patch with normal, everyday utility effects yet.

I agree. The only thing that has made me consider selling it is the possibility of funding a G5, which gets around the one limitation of the G3 (number of simultaneous effects).

I liked the look of this for a usb interface, but some of the model choices seemed a little odd, like modelling boss drive pedals, seems an odd choice. I would still like on I think but I think the weird effects would be precisely that and not useful, must resist gas haha
What are the amp models like?

Tons of people used and use Boss drive pedals. They're a pretty standard emulation option on modellers. The weird effects are really good on the G3. Amp models aren't bad, modulation and delays are excellent and the reverbs are pretty spiffy.

    ^ What he said.

The amp sims are surpisingly good, with a bit of tweaking they're very useable for noodling at home.

The wierd effects are abundant but for me, it's quite handy - it saves buying a pedal just for one passage in a song! I haven't found the limitation of 3 effects that, er, limiting either, as I have a patch for every song in my setlist and switch patches between songs.

All that, and you get a looper and drum machine built-in too!
