Default On-board PSU makes Wah hum - anyone fixed this?

I've noticed this before, and as I'm contemplating moving to a smaller board (Pedaltrain 2 -> Jr) it'll become more of an issue - a Pedal Power 2+ mounted on a board needs to be kept away from a wah pedal otherwise it causes noise - can either be screened sufficiently or is it really a matter of keeping them apart?
    Red ones are better.

    What wah do you have?

I have an old Crybaby and a Vox clyde McCoy- they both do time on my PP2+/Pedaltrain Jnr board and neither of them hum.

A Gigrig virtual battery might help.

I believe this is magnetic hum so you'd want a big lump of lead (or very thick steel) to stop it.

Crybaby, Ernie Ball, RMC, BBE - at various times and all have been susceptible ;-)

A VB won't help as it's to do with the magnetic field in the PSU transformer interacting with the inductor in the wah unfortunately

    Ah I get you.

I really don't have an issue here- just tested both wah's.
Disconnecting from the power supply and running on battery results in the same tone as does moving the wah further away (ie off the board).

This claims 'This will provide shielding and insure that RFI/EMI (interference) will not be an issue.'

    I've no idea.

Mine are *right* next to each other - I had been about to reorganise the board but I'm also thinking of downsizing so putting it off. It's not so noisy it's an annoyance when playing - just when you engage the wah before you play it's pretty obvious in my setup. Maybe my PP2+ is less than perfect... but googling suggests it's "a thing" - although no cures that I can find other than separating them. Appreciate you trying that comparison - ta.

I think what he means is that you use the existing (metal) plate as well as their (not metal) one, so that you retain all the shielding the original was already giving...
