Golden age out ! Probably (hopefully) last championship for Gerrard, Terry (even though he did very well), Lampard, Ferdinand etc.

Great technical player, loads of energy and a nice bloke. But way to thick to play at the very top. I read an interview in El Mundo with Xavi Alonso. He was articulate, educated and not at all in the mould of an English player. Until they stop waring stupidity as a badge of pride the Italinas, Germans and Spanish will always have a big advantage.

must admit (being Welsh) I get sick to death of all the coverage these players get.
Even when you won the RWC in 2003 the football was covered in far greater depth.
Some of these guys get paid £50-100,000 a week and they could not kick a barn door whilst holding the handle.
Get rid of any player who wants money to play for his country, I am sure a bunch of youngsters would try far far harder just to play for the pride.
I'd love to see some coverage of Welsh footballers, but they never seem to qualify for anything ..
