Default Need HELP with power supplies

Looking at Voodoo Lab pp2 + Diago pedal board BUT

I wanna increase the number of pedals (currently have 6) to maybe 8 - 10

(Currently have inbanez TS, boss dd-7 delay, t-rex overdrive, boss rv-5, tc electronics chorus corona, boss tuner)

However the PP2 Voodoo lab only has 8 outlets, is there an easy/straight forward option if you have more than 8 pedals other than batteries?

Also can you use the 8 ports for any pedals or are there only certain ports for specific voltages/ohms

*disclaimer im not tech savvy obviously, so just need something good solid and simple i can rely on for gigging.

    Thanks guys n girls

I'm going to say use a daisy chain off the Boss tuner for other 9V pedals.

however if you haven't actually bought the Voodoo lab yet isn't it worth looking at alternate power supplies to see if there is one that fits the bill?

you can use splitters to daisy chain off the voodoo lab, but that defeats the object of the isolated sockets.

aren't the isolated sockets really only important between pedals before the preamp and in the send and return?

i use my PP2+ to power about 10 pedals. a couple of the outlets have 250ma draw so you can power a few of that. a standard wah doesnt use much draw at all. i run a cable out of my boss tuner to my wah pedal.

Theyre all 9v outlets but theres a switch for each one underneath that does different things to power certain pedals. some can go to 12v and you can get a voltage doubler for 18v and 24v. the manual is on the voodoolabs website and it explains all this. and specifically what pedals can be used and how.

You can add a daisychain to any of the isolated outputs, just make sure the pedals on the daisychain don't draw more current than the isolated supply can give. Most analog dirtboxes are low current drain so it would be no problem daisychaining several of them together.

Most pedals don't really mind being daisychained, I find the noisy pedals are the DSP pedals, but they usually specify that either the specific supply or an isolated supply should be used.

I very much doubt many people have 8 or more offending pedals. I've just bought an Iso 5 and have about 8 pedals, but knowing my Zoom G3 is the only pedal that spoils the party on a daisychain, even those 5 isolated outputs leave me plenty of upgradeability.

I got the Iso 5 over the pedal power 2 as it has a 300ma output, which can power the Zoom and possibly a Timeline at some point.

    Default Diago Powerstation?

Is the Diago Powerstation guaranteed NOT to squeal like a piglet when plugged in at different locations??

You would be best served by the MXR/CAE MC403 Power System. I have one myself and it is very versatile, with many many outlets!

They are important regardless of pedal placement in my experience.
