Frankly if i earn money I view my family's claim on it as being much more moral than the wasteful UK state. Shame Carr lacks the balls to say "all I did was totally leagl and within the rules. Having seen how efective the UK state is a wasteing money I see nothing morally indefensible about it". So why don't you all take a great big leap off a cliff and fuck off....

I think he didn't because he relies on the public to turn up to his shows... if he worked at a bank bailed out by the UK Government I think he should have - and then done a runner.

If he is guilty of anything it is hypocrisy, not doing anything illegal. I'd have a lot more respect for him if he just said "fuck off, it's legal". I would also have a lot more respect for a supposedly conservative government if they tried to support productive citizens rather than rob them point blank. Carr is paying north of £40,000 a year just to live here. I'd imagine he has private health care and pays a fortune in council tax, so he is a net contributor. And most of the fuckwits moaning about him are not close to contributing to the state on a net net basis. (about 18% of the population actually contribute)
