    Default PowerPoint/Video/Audio presentation...

I need to knock up a quick presentation for next Thursday to my team - I was going to stick to boring old slides, but I have had an idea...

I want to knock up a little video based on the Star Trek theme - I have an mp3 of the theme which I will overlay with some deliberately (i.e. humourously) rough vocal dubs. I also have a couple of images based on the Star Trek The Next Generation which I want to show along with the music fading from one screen to another, culminating with some headshots of my team members whizzing across the screen where the old Enterprise used to whizz across the screen in the old opening credits. My theme is "The [Company] Technical Team - The Next Generation".

I know it sounds well cheesy, and it is supposed to be, it's an ice breaker before I outline my vision of the next 12 months for the team.

question is, what the easiest free way to put this stuff together?! I have used Windows' video editor thing once in the past and I reckon I could put most of it together with that, but I have no idea how to animate the headshots thingy...

It's just a bit of fun, doesn't have to be perfect quality... any ideas? I've blocked out a load of time today to put stuff together...

Oh, I suppose you'd prefer a Star Wars theme?

Try anime studio debut. You get a free trial, or someone is selling it in the other stuff section.

It exports to Flash (I think)

Or use a flash animator. Corel do one called Swish Max, or Adobe do the flash software itself.

Your alternative is to use a 3d anim program, and use planes for the photographs of your mates' heads.

Or use powerpoint to play the video of the space, and animate your mates' flybys over the top of the video. Use the video timing settings and the "fly in" "fly out" settings.
