No - they're standard negative ground pedals. The older ones do use a positive-tip 'pin' plug rather than a negative-tip 'barrel' plug, but they're interchangeable with a conversion cable - it's only the plug that's different, not the supply polarity. The later ones have a Boss-style socket. You can daisy-chain either type along with Boss pedals.

I do that ebay search as well sometimes. I have a FX 65 chorus which I really like. Combined with a Tremelo I can get a convincing vibe-y warble. They can usually be had pretty cheap.

A missing battery door isn't a deal breaker but the footswitch is more fragile than BOSS or MXR's

The FX 25 envelope filter is somewhat legendary

I've had a few and have been impressed (Dod is part of Digitech).

    Agreed
Were basically saying the same thing .A + to - sleeve cable adaptor is required as the DOD sleeve is not isolated from the ground like boss style .

Ah, I thought you meant you needed a separate adaptor (mains) for the DODs.

You're right, you just need a cable adaptor. The later DODs do have the standard Boss socket as well, so you don't even need that.

That's the chorus us on the Chili Peppers Blood Sugar album not the CE-1 as people thought! Which says alot.

I constantly search ebay for them incase something sparks my interest.

My first pedal was the red DOD distortion box.

    Looked just like this one:

Right after I got it, they came out with the THRASH MASTER!

I was so pissed off. Surely I'd have sounded much better through a Thrash Master.
