    Default Digitech Digiverb

I have the possibility of getting my hands on a Digitech Digiverb reverb pedal fairly cheap.

I've never used one before - are they any good? Will they work fine with acoustic as well as electric? They seem to be one of the cheaper reverb pedals but whether that means it's rubbish I don't know.

Any one got/had one who can offer their reviews?

I have one, for a range of reverbs I can't fault it - quite a realistic spring, nice plate, room and halls and gated/reverse for special effects. Not rubbish at all.

My one reservation is that it doesn't do a special effect I like to do with an Alesis Microverb - a shoegaze/post-rock 100% wet with a stupidly-long decay. However, I doubt that any pedal could do this satisfactorily (maybe a Blue Sky or a Cathedral?). Don't let this put you off, it's a decent pedal for adding a halo of reverb in general.

Sounds good. May be able to get one for about £30

They're great, but there is a volume drop once you set the mix over 50% wet which gets annoying if you're only using it during certain parts of songs.

...but for £30 it's kind of hard to beat.

I paid £28 for mine and really like it. I never make outlandish claims for any of my gear but this really is a good pedal by any standards. Even the H-C cork sniffers approve

HC corksniffers? On the HC reviews EVERYTHING gets 9 or 10 out of 10!!

That said I've never heard a duff effect pedal from Digitech yet! Quite possibly my next pedals are gonna be a comp and reverb and the Digiverb or hardwire one sound like the ticket!

I dont think you can do much wrong buying the majority of the X series digitech pedals especially as now s/h prices are way lower than these pedals deserve. I like the multi chorus and Metal master and always keeping an eye open for new X series listings on eBay . Sometimes you can pick them up for under £20 its just a nobrainer and quite shocking that such well put together pedals are so affordable .
You need never buy another plastic behringer again .

Very true. I've thought of selling mine at times to try something different but doing a finished items search on ebay quickly kills that idea due to lack of budget! I'd say the build quality exceeds Boss by quite a bit.
