    Default Jet City Pedals?

    Hi all

Basically I'm looking for a good overdrive pedal and a reverb pedal to compliment my JCA20H (Jet City, 20w all-valve head + matching 1x12 cab)

I've considered a few including the TS909 Tubescreamer but I also noticed that Jet City have their own line of valve-driven pedals too (including 2 OD pedals).

In my house I can't really play at high volumes and it's the kind of amp you really have to push up the volume to get the best out of it! So I need an OD pedal. I used to use a multi-fx unit (Vox ToneLab) but found the sounds to be displeasing

So here's the ones I'm looking at:

    - http://www.allansbillyhyde.com.au/pr...ive_Pedal.aspx

Anyone got any experience with them/think they're worth it?

I'm not sure about the JCs, but you definitely need some kind of Tube Screamer derivative, this is what they excel at. The JC OD will probably be fine, as you won't be using it for all your dirt.

Fair enough. I don't know. The thing I guess is that I had a TS7 and it wasn't great. But in truth if I've bought any pedals ever I've done so on the back of watching demos on YouTube rather than going to a store and trying to replicate my rig and testing the pedal that way... Probably how I ended up wasting a lot of money on pedals that then weren't that good and then sellin them on eBay (oops) won't make that mistake again.

I only want OD and reverb! Possibly wah and delay may come at a later time. Maybe distortion.

Hmm, usually the TS7s (the Tonelok TS, right?) are well-thought-of. If you want to push your amp into tighter gain, then less gain and more volume on the pedal is key. What about a Joyo Vintage OD?

I find that a standard TS9 woks really well with the JCA20. minimum drive, maximum level and a little past noon on the tone and they really sing.

THe main problem with the JetCity pedals is getting your hands on them.. they don't have a Uk supplier at the moment so it's impossible to try before you buy.

How about a Joyo Overdrive? They are something like £25-30 and supposedly very good.

That's exactly what (and how) I used with my old JCA20H - which used to be yours, I believe?

And he's in Oz, I think...

The Afterburner is supposed to be an excellent pedal, especially with the Jet City amps, and it seems to me like it'd be perfect for you:

The clean channel of the amp he's using should be pretty much the same as the JCA20H's preamp, so that's a pretty good representation of what you'll get.

There's also the Shockwave - an excellent pedal, but it's distortion rather than overdrive. I've got one, but I only ever use my JCA50H's amp distortion these days (with a Bad Monkey for a bass boost), so now our bassist's using it since it's smoother and nicer than his Big Muff.
