    I work at a recycling centre in Surrey! we are not allowed to take anything ourselves or give anything to the public thats the official line anyway something like a guitar would go into the Reuse container (sometimes ) for which a man has paid for a contract to collect all such items!

    I'm sorry but what right does he have to tell you what you can and can't do with your own possessions? I'd have been inclined to make a complaint against him for harassing you when using a public service that you pay tax to support.
