I don't want to. Mine has been 100% stable at marginally faster than promised speeds that remain within about 2% of itself 24/7

    I'm never touching it again.

I use mine in modem only mode so it's stable - oversubscribed UBR, now that's another matter!

    Unlikely.

Do yourself a favour, run it in modem mode and use a decent wifi router for the house.

I run it in normal mode albeit with wifi switched off - I've chained another for that - because I don't have another router that can do 100mb/s

I only use Wifi for my phones at home and never notice any issues with it. Not that I use it for anything other than web browsing on the sofa. The PC and Xbox are wired, as nature intended.

My wifi signal drops to half strength one metre away from the superhub! I used my phone and a wifi app to gauge the strength. Maybe it's the siting but I have limited options, and anyway the old one in the same place does a bang up job.

I need wireless for my lappy, phone, tab(s) and wii so I can't really do without, also I like to offer it to guests

PS3 simply must be wired, if only for streaming over the network. Factor in Sony's lethargic servers and the fact that homeplugs exist, and wirelessness is a madness

That's weird, my wifi signal shows as full strength anywhere in the same room and we've even got youtube ready signal in the bedroom which is 25 feet away and through a wall that's 2 feet thick.

I have VM SH in modem mode, an Airport Extreme connected to it over a wire and then another one at the far end of the house connected to that via a 100ft Cat5e cable that was cabled through the floor when I renovated the house.

The two Airport Extremes for a type of mesh wifi network- works really well- the devices seamlessly move from one to the other depending on where I am.
Took a bit of time to get the wifi settings on each airport right but it has worked absolutely perfectly for 2 years now.
