Default Sould I move to drums from guitar ?

    Hi

I am normally a guitar player ,but recently the lack of impetus to pick up my various axes has left me pondering if I should move to Drums. I used to play drums for a few songs for an old band (10yrs ago) but havent really touched them except for a stupid move last year when i bought a ION05 usb kit (idiot i know).

My question is really if there is a resonable kit that feels like and acoustic kit but is electric so I can play in my kitchen whilst my kids sleep. I need it to feel as close to a real kit as possible as when /if i get any good and transfer to an acoustic kit i would want to differnce to set me back as little as possible.

I would be looking to sell a few guitars to fund this, so I reckon I'd have around £500ish

There seems to allways be a need for a Drummer out there and allways thousands of Guitarist.

Any help or advice would be greatfully recived.

    For £500?
    No, fraid not.

Even £4000 worth of Roland kit doesnt feel like an acoustic kit. If you want acoustic feel.... you have no option....

Youre right, guitarists are ten a penny. decent drummers are very rare indeed.

Roland TD4, has mesh heads all round.
Closest you will get, but sadly miles from an acoustic sound/feel.
