    "You're so close minded"

    "That's a bias opinion"

    "Wow, you're looking tan!"

There's probably a proper term for adding "ed" to words in these contexts, but whatever it is, Americans don't do it!

I think the term is "speaking properly"

I think tan in that context can be right... maybe.

Not sure opinioned it right in that context though

While we're talking about Americans, where do they get off with not finishing TV series properly? It really annoys me. Both Life and Firefly deserved better, as do the viewing public.

Am I the only person who finds this annoying.

Nope. Firefly deserved more than just a film to finish up on, especially if you consider that shows like Lost were allowed to go on... and on... and on... for so long.

So very many TV shows cut down in their prime

Series that I've enjoyed in the past:

Space Above and Beyond - never got a conclusion of any kind that I recall, just stopped.
Babylon 5 - cancelled midway through season 4 so got an early conclusion, then season 5 got comissioned on fan request - but was then outside the main plots so was not as it should ahve been.
Farscape - cancelled in favour of Stargate, probably the most pointless show ever! Got a miniseries to wrap up most of the plots but not as good as the previous series.
Firefly - never concluded properly, and unfortunately the film didn't make enough monies for the planned sequels
Defying Gravity - didn't even manage a full series, but I really enjoyed it REALLY well shot visually, good cast, good scripts, but by episode 7 it was cancelled.
Heroes - got a bit sketchy after season 1... maybe halfway through season two I think
Jericho - I liked it, although it had a LOT of odd plot holes it was generally quite good. Got recomissioned mini series to conclude things though
The 4400 - I enjoyed this quite a bit... was wondering where they were going to go with it and bam! gone.
Dollhouse - so many beautiful wimmins such lovely sets, enjoyable plots etc... but cancelled.

Star Trek Enterprise was another one. It had a very slow start, worse than Voyager's in my book, but was starting to get pretty good towards the end. Then the last episode is a HOLODECK episode, essentially just a crap TNG one-off. Utterly unaccepatble

I thought Voyager was awful but it went on and on and on... Enterprise I thought had a lot of potential, but nothing I saw (not many episodes I'll admit) lived up to that...

The episode "Regeneration" was BRILLIANT. But otherwise it never quiet got where it should've. Trek shows are always like that- first 2 seasons absolute crap, then slowly getting better. By the end they're great. The last season of Voyager is actually very good, but it's a massive effort getting there.

That said, I've just remembered the last ep of Voyager was an obviously-rushed shite-fest as well.
