I've had lunch now so my list is growing. My happiness however is decreasing as lunch wasn't great today. Friday was a much better lunch day, I had two meat pies and mushy peas and felt like a king. [/northerner]

Back to annoying things - people not letting you join the motorway, when there is no traffic on their right whatsoever and they could just shift over and free up the left lane. Or when you are trying to be courteous and move across from the left lane to let people in at a motorway junction but the middle lane crew deside they need to drive along side you and wedge you in. And again there probably isn't someone to their right either so they could also just shift across if they were paying attention. So much traffic is the result of crap and/or inconsiderate driving.

You sort of can, if you've given 10% more effort than you have done previously, and you thought that that previous effort was all that you could give. It's figurative rather than an actual statistical analysis of effort made, no?

I get what you're getting at but you can't physically do anything beyond your maximum capability. At maximum, you're giving it 100% of your potential. Anything less is less. If at some point you improved your physical power then your newer higher level would still be 100%, albeit a new maximum level.

If you think that your giving something 100% and then you improve by 10% then you must have only been giving 90% or you're now giving 110%
