    Default SDHC card

I have an HP Pavillion g6 i3 laptop that simple refuses to see the data on a traxdata SDHC card.

When I push it into the slot the LED blinks but there is no indication on the desktop nor any drive visible in Computer.

I have tried the suggested removal and re install of drivers but it obstinately refuses to find it. If I plug the card into an Integral usb card adaptor all is fine so I know the data on the card is there!

    Bugging the A off me!

    Dave.

Don't know Mac, I only have this 8G one. I am going to Maps tommorow to buy a couple of 4G micro cards and an adaptor.

Try a 2Gb one or smaller as well - if that works but 4Gb and above don't then it's reading SD but not SDHC.

Hah! ^ I have now tried a 2G and a 4G in an adaptor and they are found fine (I put the 2G one in first and it installed drivers). They are of course "empty".

Put the 8G one back, not a blink, just does not know it is there. So I am wondering, if I format the 8Gigger in the usb adaptor and try that?

It could be using a file system the adaptor doesn't understand.

Do the 2Gb ones work into the laptop direct?

The adaptor is just a standard SDHC casing with a slot in the back for the wee one.

I have now moved everthing off the 8G so it shows "7.45 of 7.45G free" and still no joy. Back into the usb adaptor to format it. Nope, won't have it.

Ah well! At least I can use the bigger card in the usb stick thing.

Sounds like the laptop doesn't read SDHC then.
