Default FS/FT: Jooky Coronado Thingy - PRICE DROP £299 Delivered

    ** Price Drop ** Now £299 Delivered...*gulp*

I seem to be having a clearout at the moment, and find myself minus something with 'buckers, so unfortunately this needs to go.

It is obviously based on the Fender Coronado I - single pickup versh - and has an ash/alder body, with a centre block to avoid the original's feedbacky ways. The neck is a nice maple/maple one, which is meant to be compound radius but seems more 'Modern Fender' 9" to me.

The body is finished with acid-attacked copper on the front, bronze on the back with a hint of a messy paisley faux binding around the edge.

The pickup I got Mojo to wind for me especially, and it is basically a slightly warmer version of the classic Rickie Toaster Top.

Originally,I had put a trapeze tailpiece, but have now replaced this with a Ye Olde horeshoe trem, which feels great, works perfectly and seems to have added a bit of sustain while it was at it. The trapeze is in the case if you prefer that though.

What else? Well, Mojo did me a wiring loom, CTS/Switchcraft/Ye Olde wire, single volume pot with a Gretsch knob (so that Frankus knows his influence remains absolute) and Grover tuners.

It came as a shock to me, but finding a hardcase to fit a Coronado is tres difficult as the bottom is a bit fat, so I've got a nice Gator one, which is a little deep, so there is a pretty pillow beneath, as the best solution. I've given up on cheap cases and this is solid.

Soundwise, it nails the Ricky tone, but with a bit more in the middle, perhaps. Great with distortion and there we go.

I've got it up for £399, but here £350 delivered for a PayPal Gift or Bank Transfer.

Trade-wise, I like Les Pauls, SGs, maybe a Jaguar or anything cool with buckers. I could put a couple hundred quid on top for something nice. I'm just off the M5, Junction19, Portishead near Bristol, if you want to try it and have a cuppa.
