FT; Matamp 1224GT want something with more gain/ 2 channel

I'm putting up for trades my Matamp 1224GT. The GT is a one off custom build from the Matamp factory in Huddersfield, and it's a real cracker. The clean tones are scarily good; very complex and 3D, and the od tones are dirty and fat. It's got a lush valve driven reverb (like all Matamps AFAIK) and outstanding point to point hand wired construction. A real boutique amp built here in the UK, hell, if they're good enough for Peter Green i figured i'd give one a shot! Anyhow it's a bit too much for my needs, it's a big and heavy amp and my band have got a load of gigs lined up so i'll probably be looking for something a bit more rough and ready but i have other amps I'll gig with. That said I'm looking for either amp of guitar trades, i've got a totally open mind as to what so drop me a PM It's in Lincolnshire at the minute and you're welcome to swing by for a play of it/ a brew. Here's a pretty rubbish pic and i can get more if there is some serious interest! Edit; i might also consider PX/ straight sale but would rather a trade Heads or combos considered; will include the matamp 2x10 cab for a nice combo

Thanks dude, it's even sweeter in real life! Not met anyone who doesn't like it's retro looks yet! The black is all embossed into the metal faceplate, the attention to detail is outstanding

It is indeed! It had one owner before me, IIRC the singer bought it and barely used it at all?! I think it looks cool nonetheless...

I was lucky enough to play the original modded 1224mk II - owned by one of the nicest blokes in the game - that became the blueprint for the 1224GT range. It was and is, without question, the finest Matamp I've ever played...and I've been very fortunate enough to have owned and played many of them. If this one is anywhere even close ( the nature of Matamp ie one off builds - makes comparisons between amps of the same type very difficult indeed ) means that this has the potential to be a very special piece of equipment.

Thanks for the kind words Paul, you're lucky to have gotten your hands on one of those! This one really is a special amp (not just me being biased but i think most people who have experienced anything by matamp can testify that they have something about them!), as i said in my original post the cleans are mind blowingly good
