For sale my Alesis DM10X electronic drum kit as I do not get the time or energy to learn to play on, which was the reason I bought it in the first place.
I have learned as a drummer I make a good guitarist so go it must.
I am looking for £640 posted within the UK using a tracked and fully insured courier service. Given that the cost of postage is £60 then I reckon that it is a fair price for the kit as it is £899 new in all the shops etc.
I will not send it on a cheaper uninsured service to protect me and any potential buyer from loss or damage in transport.
It is packed away in the original box ready for posting.
This is the most current higher spec version of the kit and is not to be confused as the other DM10 kits. The drum brain/module however is the same one for all the DM10 range and can be updated with sample sets produced by studios an sold by Alesis, at present there is only one with more promised. It is shown in the link below along with the Alesis blurb.
The rack is very sturdy and as good as the Roland ones and the great thing is that the snare has its own stand away from the rack so it can be setup as in an acoustic kit. Of course you can mount it on the rack if you wish.
There are 2 10" dual zone velocity sensitive Toms and 3 12" dual zone velocity sensitive Toms with one being the snare. So rim shots or triggering other samples ahoy.
As well as the smaller Hi Hat cymbal there are 2 dual zone choke able Cymbals and 1 larger 3 zone Ride Cymbal.
The Hi Hat controller allows for heel splash and chick so it is really very good and progressive.
The heavy duty Bass drum pad is very good and allows for a double bass drum pedal.
The rest of the hardware is really heavy duty and solid so I reckon they will last a long time.
The Mylar drumheads can be replaced with mesh heads and the DM forum shows where to buy them and how to fit with text and video.
The drum module has a mixer on it for setting the relative levels on the fly and the MIDI out allows triggering samplers or software and in DAWs etc and the MIDI in you can trigger the module from DAWs etc.
Add backing tracks to play along with and it is all in all a great piece of kit and very flexible.
The cost for the whole kit and caboodle is now £640 posted to any UK address.
So with the £60 fully insured and tracked courier service the kit is reduced to £580 which saves £319 on new. Also bear in mind it is still in warranty until mid January 2013.
