3) Panic Station. First decent song on the album!! So much funk. So much more life than the first 2 tracks! Finally, getting somewhere. The falsetto is there. And there's grit. Yay!!

I like this one, in a way. It's an amazing mixture of Duran Duran, Blancmange, Belouis Some, Dead Or Alive, INXS and possibly the Ting Tings all rolled up into one song... and yet, it comes across as simply unoriginal rather than clever.

7) Animals. Pretty good, loving the ending!!

Probably the best (or perhaps only good) song on the album. Not sure about the ending.

11) Liquid State. Sounds a lot like Idlewild

Big Muse fan and have probably listened to new album a dozen times now. Yes it is a bit of a disappointment but then again so was resistance. It has certainly grown on me and I am sure live a lot if the tracks will be transformed. However it is not Origin or Absolution but then again nothing is. Have a theory that most bands have one great album in them , a few have 2. For me muse have have 3.5 so up there with the best.
