Default A cheap drum plug in to use with Reaper?

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a cheap enough drum plugin to get some ideas down using Reaper, the plan then being to show a real drummer the ideas, and re-record.
Something under €50/£40 or free even. Not much look finding anything online.

There was one on the review section of this site about a year ago, that was only around £30 but cannot recall the name of it. It would be perfect for what I need it for.

I am going to use a stealth plugin, record in guitar and bass, add the amps and effects on amplitube later, then just get down a basic software drum idea, play the parts on a midi keyboard etc. The plan then being to present it to a bass player and drummer to see if they would work on the ideas....

Readrums works well, and there are lots of drum samples you can download from Musicradar to use with it.

Check out Drummix. The free version is probably more than good enough for you!

I checked out the demo's on Mr Slate's site. Pretty good for $20

I got BFD2 on sale a little while ago, and whilst it's not EastWest Stormdrum, it is very good if you feel the need for better cymbals than the SS ones, found them a tad sterile.

Light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until they make a noise.

MDrummer has better support. Imediate response I have got everytime it's needed.
BFD didn't even answer my requests at the time I used BDF.
