Default FS/FT Caparison Dellinger II Transrose

    Hi everyone,

I am selling my amazing Caparison Dellinger II Special Edition in Transrose finish (gloss, not matt like the later versions). I am only letting her go because I am experiencing a massive GAS attack for a EVH Wolfgang Hardtail (yes, I am an Eddie fanboy!!) and need to raise some cash.

The guitar is in excellent condition. She is really clean except for some minor pick marks that can only be seen from close up. The guitar is standard except for the bridge pickup, which is a Dimarzio D-Sonic. I also have the original Caparison PH-R pickup and will include it along with the D-Sonic. Also, I had the trem blocked last time I took her to the tech. I don't use the trem at all and find FRs a pain in the neck (another reason to be in love with the Wolfie Hardtail).

I live in Central London, so if you are around and want to try her out drop me a line. Happy to oblige.

    Looking for £1,100 o.b.o

    Hi Chenzman,

Thanks a lot for the offer. I guess I should have specified that I am after Axises (Axisis?) only and not Sports or Super Sports. Nice top by the way!!

If you still want to try the Capa out drop me a line, I am free this weekend.

    Here are some pics:

Guessing you mean the floyd equipped Axis with maple neck? If you change your mind let me know the top by the way looks even better in real life and the birds eye maple neck has really aged well, doesn't show up that well in the pics.

Either way no worries anyway and good luck with the swap

Quick question though if you don't mind, what are the necks like on the caparisons? Are the Horus and dellingers quite different front to back?

    Hi Chenzman,

Yes, I am looking for the FR equipped Axis with maple fingerboard. Musicman has amazing tops and the birds eye necks are to die for. Really classy axes!!

The Horus is a 27 fret guitar with a 24.75' scale (Les Paul) neck while the Dellinger has a 24 fret 25.5' scale (like your Axis) neck. They feel quite different, however I find both extremely comfortable to play. The finish in the neck is really thin, not as nice as an unfinished neck but as close as it gets.

In terms of the neck carve, they are similar to Jackson's Dinkies but with a tad more meat to them. The chief Designer at Caparison was the guy running Jackson Japan in the 90's and he designed many of Jackson models back then, hence the similarity.

    Good luck with the sale!!

Here are some pics of the Horus in case someone is interested. I just got her back from the guitar tech one week ago, so she is totally ready to go.

    Hi Surfmonkey,

Apologies for the late reply. I was travelling and just got back. I will post some pics of the scratches tomorrow as soon as I am back from work.

    Cheers,

    Jose

    Hi Surfmonkey,

Here are the pics as promised. They look worse than they are but these are the better pics I had. I tried taking some more pictures today but there was no natural light and I was getting a lot of reflections. All the purple stains are gone now, I cleaned the guitar with quality guitar polish and even some of the scratches can't be seen anymore. I guess I could do even an even better job with a bit of elbow grease but have been away and have not had time.

    Cheers
