    Default FS USA tele

Black usa tele showroom condition, only change a tortoise shell pickguard. Comes with all Fender case candy, strap, lead, polishing cloth, straplocks, tags etc etc
A mate of mine is selling this to fund a custom built tele that my builder has made, so they have asked me to try and sell this one.The guitar has never been gigged and is literally immaculate, even the case looks new. Serial number is shown so you can check date of manufacture.Plays like a dream. £550 no trades

As near as I can tell using household scales 8Ib.
Not sure of radius not as round as mine (vintage type) quite flat so 9.5 upwards, sorry can`t be more specific maybe the new fender guys can ascertain spec from serial number pic above. Just checked it to be a 2003 model.

They can vary a lot in weight. Maybe it's because I'm an old fella but I like 'em light personally, 7-7.5lbs. Decent kitchen scales that weigh up to 10lbs is all you need to get an accurate weight for most guitars, well, apart from 70s Les Pauls and Customs obviously...
Great deals done with gagaryn, davejm, blackrg, dbphoto, spark240, Nick.Botfield, frankus, travisthedog, gatheredinsong, Reckless1, Marmaduke (his mate Jim bought my Hamer), stonevibe.

70`s ones I think were all sorts of weights from incredibly heavy to very light, but over last 20 years or so they seem to have averaged out fairly well, neither too heavy or light.

This seems to be one of the cheapest tele`s here, in immaculate condition with literally everything that it came with including the whirlwind fender branded lead, yet not much interest.

The weight seems to vary roughly according to price/quality in my experience. A mate of mine has a Mex Baja Tele that weighs a ton. The US Standard/US Series Teles I've played seem to average 8lbs or a bit more. I had a 70s Tele that weighed a ton and I've tried a few other 70s Teles but never lucked into a lightweight one. Meanwhile, all the Custom Shop Relic Teles I've owned and tried have been around 7 to 7.5 lbs, lovely!

I had a 69 that was rediculously light, felt like balsa wood, and also a 76 that was pretty light as well, but most of the 70`s ones I have had have been pretty heavy. All the tele`s and strats from about late 80`s onwards have been fairly uniform in my experiance neither too light or too heavy just solid. Can`t say I have noticed much difference between weights I`m more interested in the tone.
