Up for grabs is a Prs 20th Anniversary Standard 24
The guitar is all original, the P'ups are HFS & VB, the neck profile is standard and the guitar is in immaculate condition with all the case candy.
To mark the 20th year of production back in 2005, PRS launched a limited edition 20th anniversary series.
The guitars sported "Birds In Flight" inlays, an engraved 20th trussrod cover, ultra thin Nitro finish and on the standard, a one piece all mahogany body.
It's a stonkingly good guitar with none of the usual PRS bling (apart from the birds!) and a simple satin finish that gives the neck a worn in comfy slippers feel.
The light body (the guitar weighs in just over 7lbs) has an open resonance that lets notes sustain effortlessly
The p'ups are very versatile, with the vol and tone pot full on there's plenty of grunt, but back them off a little and you're into wonderfully clean tones too.
I love the inbetween tones that you can get by turning down the vol pot and playing with the different pick up positions. Its hard to describe the range of inbetween tones thats available and there's something special in the dialed in tones that you just cant achieve with everything flat out.
In an ideal world i'd like to put it away safely for "years to come investment" but needs must and it deserves to be played not sat in a case.
One Piece Mahogany Body with an Ultra Thin Nitro finish
Mccarty style 3-way toggle with a coil tap
PRS Case with all its case candy
Indian Rosewood fretboard 20th Anniversary Bird In Flight inlays (Ltd Edition)
Standard Neck Profile (same as the early guitars)
PRS Trem, Phase II locking tuners, “20th” truss rod cover
