Entertaining and often very useful. But they sometimes seem to lack reference points.

If they are demoing a pedal or amp, I want to hear what they sound like... not the guitar.

Interestingly enough, or maybe not, over the many years and on the numerous occasions I've visited the shop, be it early, late, mid-week or weekend, I've never, ever seen The Captain in there. Is he Chapper's Gimp and kept in the Anderton's Dungeon?

Seriously, those two are ok and seem like decent chaps. Like someone said, I'd prefer to see more balance between clean and dirty sound demos, but they do the job in an amusing way. Johnny Degarmo - aaarghh!!. Andy at Proguiatars is good and I love my fellow Greek, Phil X (apart from his great guitar skills, does anyone else here think he's got a cracking good voice)? Our own Alex Hutchings is great on the Roland/Boss stuff as is Gundy Keller but of late, I've loved Peter Thorn's demos and Josh Wibaut (Testing123reviews).

I was talking about guitar demos, obviously it's different for pedal or amp demos...

I like Chappers humour and have no problem with Capt Lee...all I find grates on me is Chappers playing anything except blues. He IMO is one of the things that I hate with many guitarists...technical skills are there but the music sadly just isn't. He is the very definition of a 'wanker' on the guitar (guitar masterbation...you know what i'm talking about). If you heard that as a sound file I don't think many would say that it sounds musical. When he plays bluesy he sounds fine.

I think he perceives himself to be a lot better than he really is.

The GT-100 demo as mentioned earlier is typical Chappers. The Pod HD demo was the same...he succeeds in making these items sound bad. If I was a company wanting someone to demo my gear I'd put Chappers in the 'never in a million years' queue...near the back of it.

Like I said tho, his humour is what makes the vids worth watching for me. If it was soundfiles and no talking i'd just not even bother.

They both seem ok to me, I just find that some of their videos go on for about 10 minutes longer than they should do and I get bored quickly.

    I like their vids.

If they weren't slightly annoying and silly would we be talking about them on the internets?

Yes, this was particularly cringe worthy in the videos he did with Philx, where he seemed to think PhilX who plays on grammy award winning records, tours with Bon Jovi and demo's vintage, rare, collectible guitars did the same job as he did

He also needs to stop singing, but apart from that both Chappers and Lee are quite entertaining.

Does Chappers play in a band?

I know he teaches because he show's that in his own YouTube vid's, and I assume he does play in a band, which I reckon will be some kind of metal band, but I don't know for certain.
