Experimenting with a newly aquired 20w head - what have you got - unbranded chinese valves not required ( they came with amp )

I did that whole thing with my vintage bassman last year, have to say mate, not a great lot of difference really, changing the power section made much more of a difference, but their are guys that swear by good tubes, sure the RCA tubes last longer than today's standard, I still have originals in my vintage vibrochamp, and it still sounds great
