Post FS: VHT Pitbull Fifty/Twelve (Fryette)

    Greetings,

I've decided to post my VHT amp on sale here as my bank account has dictated that I must do so... £950 and I will part with it outright, offers considered but no trades at this time.

No amp sale would be valid without pics so here they are:

I've been the sole owner of this amp and can say that it has been well very looked after and is in great condition. Undoubtedly the finest amp I have ever owned.

For those that aren't familiar rather than having two similarly voiced channels like some of the the other pitbull models, this has separate dedicated clean channel and dirt channel with very flexible tone controls. The amp also takes pedals very well.

Cleans are gorgeous and are voiced somewhat in the Fender style - VERY organic and dynamic with lots of beautiful sparkle if you dial it in. The Dirt Channel has loads gain on tap and can be dialed in to sound very fat yet defined with lots of harmonic content.

Depending how it is set up it covers all ground from blues/classic rock, thick chewy sustaining leads and also very tight articulated distortion for heavier riffs and/or low tunings.

There's the option to select between class A & A/B on the power section and between solid state and tube power rectifier(or auto mode) which change the feel and responsiveness of the amp. Tone shaping controls on the amp include a Boost function, Shift(changes the mid frequency), and Edge on the gain channel turns the amp into an aggressive heavy sounding beast!

The VHT FX Loop's are regarded as some of the best and most transparrent loops in the business and can be used in parallel or series with a mix/volume control. Tubes are in full working order though may well benefit from a fresh set. Lastly the power section runs on 2x EL34 tubes.

    (Original documentation is included)

I do believe that covers just about everything. If not please ask. Thanks!

Hope the wall of text didn't scare you off, however she is still looking for a new home.

Nice. I had the head version for many years. Hope she finds a good home, as they really are great amps.
I would take a great song with Bad tone over Great tones in a shitty song anyday.
