    Default Russian EHX pedals cheap!

I know there are some fans of these out there so I thought I;'d share. Sounds Great Music are flogging off the Russian Small Stone and BassBalls for 20 quid each, and the muff for 30.

I've ordered a bassballs and stone for myself.

    Shit!

I really need/want a Sovtek Muff, but even £30 is beyond my means...OK...fingers crossed they don't sell out by the time of my monthly cheque...

TBH I'm hoping the same. I've wanted a russian muff since someone told me its got a different circuit to the muff pi. Doesnt matter if thats true or not, still gonna try and get it if I can afford it.

My Russian stone and balls arrived today, along with the s/h AW-2 I bought off them. They all look so cool in black I have to say.

Looks like I just won a flanger too: Turbo Flange Its not quite an EVH/mxr model I've been drooling over but it will go in the collection nicely.

I also won a Boss phaser last week but the guy has failed to email me his address for some reason (I specified postal order as I dont use paypal). Starting to wonder if he's keeping silent to relist it as I won that for £31. Paranoid?

    Default Russian Smallstone update

Man do I love these russian pedals. They sound so grungy and beautiful. Spent all tonight playing with the phaser - it seems to have so much potential. Weirdly it sounds different to the US one I tried ages ago... do they use different circuits I wonder? Hmmm...

Come on guys! (and girls come to think of it) 20 quid!

    What do you play?

I've used things like this (the USA Small Clone is an example) on everything from keys to bass.

I don't think the Russian ones are ROHS compliant.... which technically means they shouldn't be sold in the Uk!

Hence why they're being sold off cheap and can't be replaced.

I have read that in the past and tbh had forgotten. Still, I suppose its no different from building your own pedal. I wonder if the BYOC range is ROHS? It all comes from the states doesnt it.

Just ordered the russian muff, the other two links won't work though.

Not that it matters, I only wanted the big muff anyway - though that said I couldn't actually find it on the site - only from your link. I hope this doesn't mean they've sold out already.
£35 delivered is a bit of a good deal!

Arrived in the post this morning, good stuff!

It's a basic fuzz pedal, and sounds pretty good with my guitar - nothing amazing but you can get some really nice fat tones out of it.

I'll just have to wait for my Ashdown Electric Blue to come now, so I can try it out with my Bass - should be awesome for playing Muse stuff. I think Chris uses one of these russian muffs on a few of their songs including Hysteria - one of the best bass riffs going.
