Default Best parcel service in UK

    Hi guys,

I'm starting to sell off loads of my stuff but finding the sending of them every expensive. What, in your opinion, is the best company to use?

I have used MyHermes to send a parcel but I am not that confident in their Service.

    Cheers,
    Jim

Interparcel's economy service, which is actually UPS. I've used them a lot of times and the prices are very reasonable and I've never had an issue.

We need to sticky a topic for courier recommendations.

UPS is best, I agree. I have never had problems with them :-).
You should be able to get quotes and things so just shop around and see which company works for you.

Just used them, and a +1 to that.

I was expecting a small package, scheduled for delivery between 8am and 6pm on the Wed just gone with Interlink Express. As it needed signing for I had to make sure I was in, no biggie, and the tracking showed it had been loaded onto the van at their Manchester depot (about an 90 minutes drive away from my house) early that morning. I sat back waiting for it to arrive, but of course it didn't, and this was after 2 emails from them confirming it'd be delivered that day.

The tracking hadn't been updated when I checked again on Thursday so expected to have to stay in all day again. Mid morning the postie arrived, delivered letters then came back with a small package he'd overlooked, the same one Interlink Express were in charge of, but it didn't need signing for now. Seemingly any deliveries IE can't manage are passed onto Royal Mail.

I'll be checking which courier is used for anything else I buy online, if it's IE I'll shop elsewhere, even if this means paying slightly more.

I tried using Parcel Monkey, really cheap, they used Interlink for the collection, but totally fucked me about for five days after due pickup date, but got it done eventually. Used Parcel to Go and it was perfect, but they used Parcelforce. To be honest I think Interlink are a bit of a shambles in themselves compared to Parcelforce.
