I have some somewhere on disk, I'll have a look later. To be honest though, I'd look for analog waveforms, saw/pulse/square, from an analog synth rather than these waveforms from a VA synth ( Unless you are after some types of digital waveforms? )

Also, I don't know if you have tried it but audio editors signal generators can be very useful, I use Wavelab and I generate all the above waves in there. You don't need huge long files, just specify a frequency and render it, then loop a small section ( even a single cycle will suffice )

After you drop these into a sampler and created your patch, get some great sounding plugin efx to mangle/warp/overdrive the sound on output.

Point is, I think the samplers filter, the envelopes you make and the post-sampler efx are more important than what the initial waveform came off and I know the Virus ones I have are just normal sounding waves, no different to any other.

If you are using raw waveforms up front ( like those in-yer-face sawtooth basses with little processing ) I definitely reckon real analog waves are better suited.

I'll have a look though later, I know I have some, where they are though is another story.

You could try the DnB Wiki:

    dnbwiki.com/

Go to the samples page, I'm sure there are some Virus samples there!

hey a junglist from the old site! i liked your tunes Paint.
the reason i said virus is cos the samples i got from it just seem very loud and deep, my nord lead for instance doesn't seem to have the same omph in thi sub. i'll try the tone generator on wlabs at college cheers Delphine. in terms of the wiki the bass noises off there are weak, maybe in the packs theres somthing but i cant be arsed with downloading tons of packs.
im using the samples in the nnxt for lfo's etc (although the filter sounds a bit poo), gonna get kontakt when i can afford it. then i resample and stuff and rewire for effects in cubase.

cant belive i havent been looping a bloody triangle wave, schoolboy error.
    cheers

Run the NNXT into THOR and use the filters there...;-)

I quite like the NNXT filters myself, much more than say the ones in Abletons simpler.

Do you use any other apps which support VST? I was going to mention Korg Legacy MS20, the filters are amazing on that, running audio out from Reasons sampler though that is wickid...
