Top 5 Guitar Tones....

I really enjoyed this thread but it was so tormenting trying to come up with five that I had to give up and just enjoy some of my fellow forumites' choices instead.

One I do want to mention, however, is Alex Lifeson (a guy whose tone I don't especially like, normally) in La Villa Strangiato - the quiet breakdown in the middle.. Cleanish guitar, touch of reverb..then swelling the volume control into a lovely loud twiddle session. Ace.

I've no idea about my 5 but I do like the sound of the guitars on early Rush ( inc the Zeppish Working Man). After Lifeson discovered chorus he went a bit bollocks.
