    Default Hindu Scale (Mixolydian b6)

    Hey

Been getting into the Hindu scale recently - check out this jam track for it, it's the 5th mode of the melodic minor scale - basically like Mixolydian with a minor 6th step...

E Hindu Scale groove jam track

    Happy jamming

Nice one Is there a downloadable copy of the bt audio for this? I had a look on your site but couldn't find one, very cool site btw. An excellent resource for people to practically apply the theory knowledge and see/ hear how it works.

Light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until they make a noise.

I always associate this scale with the 'Deliver us' river lullaby from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack

Hindu pentatonic is simple alternative. A pentatonic with a 3rd instead of a flat 3rd. Works well with blues. Jeff Beck is a notable user.
