    Default Soundhole pickup clicks

I recently got an LR Baggs M1A soundhole pickup for my guitar after reading so many positive comments on here. But when I play I'm getting occasional clicks coming through the amp*which seem to be from my pick hitting the pickup as I'm strumming.*

I've tried lowering the pole pieces but it hasn't got rid of the problem. And I'm trying to train my right hand to strum slightly further towards the bridge, but it always seems to creep forward. Is there anything else I could try before I resign myself to replacing the pickup with some other sort?

The M1 is specifically designed to be vibration-sensitive, in order to pick up the tone of the guitar body and sound better - but that does mean it will be much more prone to picking up being hit as well.

Unfortunately I think you'll either have to force yourself to change your technique, or get a different pickup - which would be a shame as the M1 really does sound better than any other soundhole pickup I know of.

Oh well, I'll have to keep working on my technique.
Thanks for clarifying the issue though.
