    Default Small USB Interface

    Hi All,
Whats the best 2 input USB Audio Interface? I need one to record the band that I am the engineer for. What do you recommend? Around £50?

    Cheers Guys

If you are going to feed it from a mixer the Behringer UCA 202 is about as simple as it gets and you could get two for a nifty*.

If you DON'T have a mixer and are running Win 7 I can only suggest the M-Audio fast track pro but you will have to look for a second hand one.

*It is entirely possible to run two usb AI at the same time giving you 4 inputs, much more flexible for band recording (DI bass and keys e.g.) and being identical devices they should stay in sync' for a long time. (but I suspect usb devices are all clocked by the pc anyway?)

I'd recommend a Focusrite, to be honest. In this price range, absolutely nothing can beat their preamps. Drivers are stable too. A Scarlett 2i2 is about £120 or so new.

I agree that the Scarlett 2i2 is a must. Not going to get much cop for around £50 its sad to say. unless you go the second hand route.
