    Default Cable Loom

    Hi All,
Is there such thing as a cable loom but with different connectors on. So instead of 8 jack to jacks, there are MIDI, jack etc.

    Cheers

a "loom" can have anything you want on it, it's just a collection of cables.

I make up 8-24 way looms with all sorts of connectors.

I have one that runs from my pedalboard to the amp that does audio IO (including fx loop) as well as channel switching etc.
I don't like tying cables together- better to get a sheathed (ooh-err) 8 way multi-core cable, cut it to length and then solder the connectors onto it.

I always carry a spare though in case something goes wrong.
You DON'T want to be at a gig and trouble shooting an 8 way loom.

depends how thick it is. if it's not very thick you can shove the cables into a split pipe-lagging foam tube, or another old classic is to use an old vacuum cleaner house split down the side with a knife

or use the default lacing cord... if you can tie your own shoe laces it should be no problem:

you can get it from any maplins type shop
