Do you have any idea what the body weighs, or how heavy the full guitar was?
I'm asking as I have a Strat Plus that I like the sound and feel of but don't like the weight of! (8lb 10oz)
Given that it's a near-identical custard colur, I could buy your body and swap it with the Strat Plus body to hopefully create something a bit lighter.
I'd probably need a trad 6-screw bridge too unless I could get your body re-drilled for the 2-point US trem.
Anyway, I'll do some research but it all hinges on the weight of your strat body. Obviously it's only worth doing if it's considerably lighter than my current one and, given that I think those were made of Ash, that might be unlikely.

I've just weighed it on the bathroom scales - there's no hardware or anything on it. It looks as though it's dead on 1 kilo, which is roughly 2.2 lbs. Please bear in mind they were just bathroom scales, though!

..forgot to mention. The 6-point bridge has a steel block which is really heavy but gives great sustain. I have the original alloy block which is much lighter if you'd prefer that. I'd have no problem keeping the steel block.

That seems remarkably light. The research I've done says that a 4lb body is around average with 5lb being heavy-ish and 3lb being light.
I'm sorry for dithering. I just can't make my mind up if it's worth pulling apart my Strat plus or whether to just mothball it and buy something new.
In the meantime, consider this bumped.

Like I said, I'm only using bathroom scales, the springy kind. Could be up to 1/2 lb out, I guess. Hardware would make a big difference though - the steel block is over 10 oz on it's own, without the bridge. I don't have any other scales, sadly.

So, which of the three pickups doesn't work ? I ask because if you've got a working neck & middle pickup I've got a working bridge Dimarzio, might be able to sort summat out
