    Default NAD - but old...

... and ugly too... but my god what a sound! Picked this up for a very reasonable price yesterday and gigged it last night - blimey! I usually use a Lazy J 20 H and ok, this wasn't quite that but.... immense sound (Celestion spider frame 15 inch), really clear, no noise, took pedals brilliantly...

Why do all these WEM's keep cropping up , It is making me feel really nostalgic.

My band used WEM , I have the 15W dominator and our PA was a 100W "bandmixer " with two great columns . I remember they had Horn speakers at the top.

If you look back in the 70's WEM were a common sight at big Gigs ..

I knew nothing about amps back then and didn't even know it had "Valves" I just went to the shop and it was the Loudest amp I could afford.
I bought it on HP over 12 months with my Dad acting as guarantor .....

Correct. Useless for bass! Except at very low volume. If pushed even remotely hard the power section and the speaker will fart out horribly before it reaches any useful volume.... I wouldn't try it really, they don't sound healthy like that.

But they sound fantastic for guitar.

By the way, this amp lacks the "shelf" piece of metal with the knob identifiers from the front - if anyone has one lying around....
