Default Your Top 10 Albums of 2012?

This is difficult. For me. They're not in any particular order. So much good stuff has come out in the past 6 months.

    1) "Hot Cakes" - THE DARKNESS
    2) "Music From Another Dimension" - AEROSMITH (released beginning of November)
    3) "Apocalyptic Love" - SLASH FEAT. MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS
    4) "La Futura" - ZZ TOP
    5) "The Connection" - PAPA ROACH
    6) "Last of a Dyin' Breed" - LYNYRD SKYNYRD
    7) "Head Down" - RIVAL SONS
    8) "Afterglow" - BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION (released end of October)
    9) "Black Rabbits" - GRINSPOON
    10) "The Connection" - PAPA ROACH

Things that are coming up hopefully this year/early next year:
    - New Buckcherry
    - Heavens Basement debut album
    - The Datsuns new album should be good based on 2 singles

All I can think of that I have bought the year and have rated are:

    The Killers -Battle Born
    John Mayer -Born and Raised
    Ry Cooder -Election Special
    Flamin Lips -Heady Fwends
    Alabama Shakes -Boys & Girls

Have also bought The Darkness, Steve Vai and Mumford & SOS but haven't got round to listening to them yet so can't comment.

    Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten
The Wallflowers - Glad All Over

Those are the only releases from this year that I've bought.

Both are good records, although the Gaslight Anthem have lost some of their grittiness in this record.
Fender 1997 California Series Strat, Fender CP 50s Strat, Fender 50th Anniversary MIJ '52 Tele, Fender Std Tele (being refinished)
All through a VOX VT20+, stomp boxes = redundant.

The only records released this year which I've purchased are

    Michael Landau 'Organic Instrumentals'
    Renegde Creation 'Bullet'
    Incubus 'HQ Live'

Enjoyed them all but I'm really looking forward to the new Soundgarden album coming out next month. I'm praying it's not a disappointment.

I was quite surprised to discover how few albums from 2012 I have, when I checked my iTunes library - partly it's because I've downloaded a lot of individual singles instead of albums, and partly because a lot of what I thought of as "this year" albums were actually released late last year...

Of the actual 2012 releases -

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die
Garbage - Not Your Kind Of People
    Killers - Battle Born
    "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand" - Homer Simpson
