    Alt tunings make playing guitar easier. In many cases a LOT easier.

    Well I had a little time this morning so I filed the bridge down a mill or 1.5mm, wirewooled the frets and oiled the board before sticking on a set of Elixirs (11s cos I have princess fingers).

    Wow it sounds great. The action is a little better but I reckon it's mostly just the new-strings effect (having not restrung the poor old thing for well over a year). Hopefully the Elixirs will degrade more slowly.
