As for latency it ranged from noticable to nothing... but my laptop is near death type old, so could just be one of its regular "meh, I dont wanna run properly" hissy fits it throws... if I get a chance I'll pop over to a friend-with-better-pc's place and see what I can see - of course everyone is busy this weekend, so probably not as soon as I'd like - stupid people having a life, I have virtually nothing to do this weekend... hmpf!

You can buy the cable seperately so that's a new option for recordists!
Played it today and for many reasons I didnt like it. Latency was the big one for me but its not "teaching" you anything in my opinion.

Try it on a non-hdmi bus, I get zero latency on my xbox using VGA cable...
As for not teaching... it teaches chords, bends, hammer-ons and pull-offs, palm mutes, harmonics, scales, timing, fretboard positioning (the guitarcade games are great for this)... rythm, melody, solos...
OK at first people are more learning the fret position for [coloured blob three], but over time all the above will sink in, and then they can work on memory and imagination on their own
