The rain was horizontal at son no 3's football yesterday and it was blowing a gale at training tonight.

Likewise. A fair bit of cloud cover (but some blue peeking through), brightish, fresh and a bracing but not unpleasant breeze.

Which for here meant lots of rain, so therefore a waterproof coat. Thus equipped, I adapted to the Autumnal shift in wetness without further calamity.
